Our Story
Welcome to Mercado San Juan! We’re a family-owned business with a heart as warm as the tortillas we make. Established in 2015 by Antonio and Olga Rauda, we’ve made it our mission to share the authentic flavors and traditions of Mexico right here in Hermiston, Oregon.
We are first generation business owners with dreams of building a future and a business that could serve our community. After moving to Hermiston from Hillsboro, we saw an opportunity to bring a little piece of our hometown to this vibrant community. Mercado San Juan is named after the pueblo where Antonio was born and raised—San Juan Michoacan, a place we still visit often to reconnect with our family and heritage.
Since opening our doors in 2015, we’ve been committed to offering the best in traditional Mexican food, from tacos and burritos to quesadillas and our fresh-baked goods. Every weekend, we make fresh tortillas for our special menudo, just like the ones Antonio’s family used to make back home. We’re also proud to offer a wide range of Mexican groceries, so you can bring a taste of Mexico home with you.
